Social Services and Financial Assistance

Program Description

The Actors Fund Social Services offer comprehensive programs designed to meet the critical needs of entertainment professionals throughout their lives. Social workers provide crisis intervention, individual and family needs assessments, and develop long-term plans including ongoing support, education, information and referrals. In addition, financial assistance can be provided for essential living expenses such as rent, utilities or medical costs.

Eligibility

Eligibility for financial assistance varies by program. We encourage you to call and speak with our Intake Social Worker who can best determine how we may be of assistance. Overall eligibility for financial assistance is based on:

• A minimum of five years of industry employment with earnings of at least $6,500 for three out of the last five years
• Financial need

To apply for financial assistance, an application with supporting documentation and an interview is required.
