Housing Resource CenterProgram Description As the national housing crisis escalates, affordable housing has become an increasingly significant issue for the entertainment community. The Actors Fund housing program responds to the entertainment industry community’s need for affordable housing. It also provides education, support and connection to information about housing issues. Educational seminars provide information on a variety of topics including: city and state subsidized housing options, available artists housing, and steps to first time home buying. In addition, our New York office operates a housing hotline at 212.221.7301 ext. 257, which offers information about upcoming seminars and current housing leads. Support services help clients navigate application processes, provide interview coaching and assistance with writing letters of appeals, and exploring and creating a housing plan. Our connection services link clients to community resources and tenants’ rights organizations for help with housing court and landlord/tenant issues such as leases, repairs, rent stabilization, and rent control. The Actors Fund operates an assisted living and skilled nursing facility, as well as two supportive housing developments in New York and Los Angeles.
